    "Publishing for people with passion"
Our Philosophy
Who We Are

At From the Prairie Publications, Inc. (FTPP), we believe that good writing is simply good writing and that readers recognize it when they see it. We also believe that there are many quality writers who in today's world of high-profit-demand publishing would never see their work in a publisher's catalog. Our mission is to ensure that those authors do get published.

FTPP is a regional publishing house located in the heart of the Midwest--South Bend, Indiana. Nevertheless, FTPP has an international reach.

Because FTPP does not specialize in one particular genre, it is unlimited in what it can offer. There is only one criterion by which all FTPP books are judged: Each FTPP book must be of superior quality.

The prairie is a magical place. Its history is full of larger-than-life figures: noble, heroic Native Americans; brave French explorers; and resolute immigrants who came from all corners of the earth in search of a new home. It is an area of diverse, natural beauty: farms on the edge of vast, wooded areas and beaches along the shores of the Great Lakes. It is also home to some of this country's major cities.

The prairie is a place of dreams and imagination. It has produced many of the greatest names in American literature, such as Ray Bradbury, Theodore Dreiser, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Ernest Hemingway, Garrison Keillor, Sinclair Lewis, Carl Sandburg, and Jean Shepherd. The spirit instilled in these great artists still pervades today's prairie inhabitants.

As it was in the past, the prairie is a place of stories. It is also full of writers who will interpret those stories and bring them to life. Many of today's and tomorrow's great writers and stories will come from the prairie and will be read and heard through From the Prairie Publications, Inc. So, dear reader, sit back, relax, and enjoy the journey.
