What We Offer
At From the Prairie Publications, Inc. (FTPP), we believe that good writing is simply good writing and that readers recognize it when they see it. We also believe that there are many quality writers who in today's world of high-profit-demand publishing would never see their work in a publisher's catalog. Our mission is to ensure that those authors do get published.
Though FTPP is primarily a book publisher, it offers other services, too. FTPP's writing and editorial staff has more than two decades of professional writing and editing experience, working with book, journal, magazine, newspaper, and online publishers; on newsletter projects; on proposals and grants; and on other writing and editing projects across numerous disciplines.
Book Publishing/Writing and Editing Services
Publishing with From the Prairie Publications, Inc.
Though From the Prairie Publications, Inc., makes use of the latest technologies to produce its books, it produces books the "old fashioned way." By this, we mean that unlike many publishers, FTPP uses real editors--people who are actually trained in the profession--to go over manuscripts. After a manuscript has been reviewed and accepted for publication by FTPP, it is put through a thorough process: it will be s proofread, copyedited, substantively edited, and reviewed again to ensure that readers acquire a quality publication. Throughout the production process, FTPP editorial staff consults its authors on matters pertaining to edits, rewrites, and any other necessary changes--FTPP likes for its authors to be pleased with the end product!
As the book approaches the final stages of editing, the FTPP staff creates a book cover, secures an ISBN number, and arranges for printing of the book. Once a publication is available for purchase, FTPP will sell it through its distribution channels.
Self-Publishing Services
Perhaps you don't want to publish your book with FTPP or any other publisher. In fact, you might want to self-publish your book, but don't know where to start. In that case, FTPP can offer you the guidance and services you need to self-publish. FTPP's rates are reasonable, and self-published books will receive the same attention that books bearing the FTPP logo receive.
